CERES Greenhouse Solutions is looking for an intern on a path to an architecture or environmental design degree. Ceres is an industry leader in energy efficient, sustainable greenhouses with a young team from many different nations and educational backgrounds. Our markets include back-yard gardeners, small-scale farms, schools, restaurant owners, aquaponic/hydroponic growers and licensed-cannabis cultivators. Our mission is to create abundant and sustainable indoor growing environments to enable anyone to grow local food and crops year-round. The focus of this internship is to give hands on experience with drawing, working with clients on material orders, as well as spending time in the various departments within our company. An intern at Ceres will work primarily with our residential design team while having an opportunity to also explore our commercial vegetable and cannabis design departments, learn from engineering and building department and data analysis team.
An ideal applicant is someone who is excited about sustainability with experience making renderings and construction drawing sets, though this is not mandatory. This internship position offers flexible working hours, negotiable pay for a mission-driven company working to improve local food systems world wide.
Our ideal candidate:
-Comfortable working with clients of all ages and demographics
-Is proficient/ has knowledge in Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suites
-Experience drafting construction drawing sets is beneficial
-Is passionate about gardening, local food and sustainability
-Takes initiative and is always on the hunt for new opportunities
-Excels when working independently, without direction, and can solve problems independently, without any oversight or direction
-Wants to work in a very flexible and casual family work environment
-Is a team player
-English language skills written and spoken
